L. (Tanysaccus) humilis (Walsingham)


Adult Characteristics

Wingspan 10-14 mm. Forewing unicolorus, grayish brown. Hindwing of the same color.


Comparison with similar species

Worn specimens can possibly be mistaken for aenescens or sublustris. Coloration is similar to that of G. politella, but it is smaller and has less pointed forewings. It is not sympatric with either of these species.


Host, oviposition, and larval feeding habits

Not known.


Geographic distribution

Coastal, humid portions of British Columbia, Canada, south to northern California, USA.


Habitat

Not reported.
