L. aereipennella (Rebel)
Adult Characteristics
Wingspan ?. Head rusty yellow. Forewing purplish brown with a bronzy lustre, and a pale yellow spot near tornus. Hindwings gray.
Comparison with similar species
Distinguishable from triangulifera by dissection of genitalia.
Host, oviposition, and larval feeding habits
Larva is said to feed in the bark of Pyrus communis and related taxa (Svensson 1993). The moth emerges in early summer.
Geographic distribution
Reported from Austria, northern Italy, Bulgaria, and Fennoscandia.
Habitat
Reported from oak forest in Finland.
