The species is depicted in Inoue et al. (1982; plate 1:18).
Wing expanse 14-16 mm. Forewing brownish fuscous with slight bronzy shine, about 6-9 near-white costal, dorsal, and apical spots, creating a checkerspot pattern.
The species is said to be differ from G. kononenkoi, but differing in placement of the light patches, in having the vinculum of the male genitalia longer than valval length, and in having anterolateral processes of the transtilla arising together.
