L. sakhalinella Kozlov


Adult Characteristics

Depicted in Kozlov (1996). Male wing expanse 13 mm. Forewing pale grayish fuscous with bronzy lustre, and two yellow spots on costa and hind margin. Hindwing uniformly gray. Female unknown.


Comparison with similar species

Lampronia redimitella is said to be smaller, have transverse fascia at the forewing base, and have the pecten in a different position. Lampronia quinquepunctata differs in having basal spots on the forewing and by having a narrower cucullus.


Host, oviposition, and larval feeding habits

No information is available.


Geographic distribution

Known only from the Sakhalin peninsula of eastern Siberia, Russia.
